この曲は94歳のお母さまへの贈りものとして、ご依頼をいただき作曲させていただきました。母の日にあわせて、初演として私の演奏とともにお届けしました。
作曲にあたり、お母さまやご家族さまの今までの歩みをヒアリングさせていただきました。
私には想像もできないようなたくさんのご経験と、ご自身が語ってくださる生きたお話。
すべてがその方やご家族だけにしかない、ひろいこの世界、ながいこの時の積み重ねの中でたった一つの人生であり、物語であると実感しました。
それから私の頭には「雨が降るからこそ、花が咲く」という言葉がずっと浮かんできて、曲名を「雨花（うか）〜The Rain Leads To Imergence」とさせていただきました。
曲の中にある雨の音、雫の落ちる音、蕾が開く瞬間、小鳥がさえずる夜明け…そんな音たちをたくさんの方に奏でていただけたら嬉しいです。

合唱クラブの中学生たちと一緒に、この旋律に歌詞を書いてもらって合唱曲をつくりました。また改めて発表します！

I composed this piece in response to a request for a gift for a 94-year-old mother.
It premiered with a performance by me on Mother’s Day. To prepare for the composition, I spoke with the mother and her family about their life journey.
I heard about the countless experiences—things beyond my own imagination—and the vivid, personal stories she shared.
I realized that all of this—unique to her and her family—represented a singular life and story, unfolding amidst the vastness of the world and the long passage of time.
The phrase “It is precisely because the rain falls that flowers bloom” kept coming to mind, leading me to title the piece “Uka (Rain Flower) — The Rain Leads to Emergence.”
I hope many people will enjoy playing the sounds found within the piece: the sound of rain, the patter of falling droplets, the moment a bud opens, and the chirping of small birds at dawn.
